  • Mike Silvestrini

    Mike co-founded Greenskies in 2008, then managed the company’s transition from a start-up to the leading commercial and industrial ("C&I") solar development firm in the United States with a customer base that includes Wal-Mart, Sam's Club, Target and several of the largest electric utilities in the world.

    As the company’s President and CEO for over eight years, he was responsible for the architecture and management of the business from deal origination, project financing, engineering, procurement, construction to asset management. His work ethic blends with the enthusiasm, leadership and the industry knowledge needed to make complex business decisions on a daily basis. Mike was directly responsible for closing over $500mm of solar project finance, building and owning over 400 commercial solar projects ranging from 200kW to 5MW, creating industry-leading O&M and asset management departments and expanding the company's footprint across 23 states from California to South Carolina. Greenskies was ranked #1 by market share for commercial and industrial solar developers by Greentech Media and was named one of the Best Places to Work by the Hartford Courant in 2016.

    Mike was named "40 Under 40" by the Hartford Business Journal in 2012, and again by Connecticut Magazine in 2017. He was a national merit scholar at Boston University and was a Peace Corps volunteer in Mali, West Africa. He also serves on the Board of Directors of Big Life, a wildlife conservation and security group based in Kenya.

  • Chris Sattler

    Chris Sattler is a seasoned energy executive with a track record of startup success. He co-founded Energea after an extensive, one year, market study, validating all business model assumptions. Chris understands the different market dynamics creating the unique opportunity, with Distributed Generation, in the Brazil electric markets. Previous positions include Vice President at Clean Energy Collective, President of Plant. Smart Energy Solutions, and Chief Operating Officer of North American Power. The most successful of these companies has been North American Power, where Chris was the co-founder and COO for the first 6 years of operations. The company was recently sold to the largest power generation owner in the United States, for a value over $100M. Combining a strong entrepreneurial background with a comprehensive understanding of distributed renewable technology and deregulated energy markets, he remains at the crossroads of new energy innovations and business models. Chris studied economics at the University of Connecticut, School of Business, and is alumni of the Harvard Business School.

  • Antonio Pirez

    Antonio Pires is a senior executive with more than 30 years of experience in the Energy sector. During this period he directly managed the implantation of more than 2GW of power projects, ranging from thermoelectric, cogeneration and hydropower.

    In addition to his experience implementing large energy projects, he participated in the startup of Igarapava hydroelectric Consortium, being the first consortium of power generation in the country, and of which he was a member of the administrative council. He was also involved in the privatization process of Companhia Vale do Rio Doce, Companhia Estadual de Gas do Rio de Janeiro.

    Throughout his professional life Antonio has worked with large national and multinational companies including CSN, El Paso Brasil, Thyssen Krop CSA and SNC Lavalin. In the case of El Paso and CSA, he was involved from the start of operations.

    Antonio is a professional who always seeks new skills and is and ready for a challenge. He has a degree in mechanical engineering with a master's degree in Energy Planning, and an MBA in Business Management and Project Management, as well as LLM in Business Law.
